UPDATE: This is very outdated and I have no plans to fix this up.
You may have heard of this somewhere, but maybe you don't know what it is. This is why I made this website. Black MIDI is a special type of composition, usually made for the piano, that tries to fit a lot of notes in a song. Think of many different piano pieces being played at once, and combined to make a large black MIDI. Sometimes black MIDI is described as classical music, dubstep, techno, heavy metal, or all of that combined. However, this is not always the case, as smaller black MIDIs don't sound as bigger ones.

However, most blackers (makers of black MIDI) usually try their best to make it sound at least decent. This can be done by reducing the volume of notes or muting them completely. MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a type of music file. However, it is different from the MP3s you normally listen to on your iPod. MIDI files are literally instructions for the computer to read and play. Therefore, it is possible for the computer to slow down because of all the notes playing at once. These were made due to how small they were in size compared to real audio files, and it would speed the download up by at least 5 times during the time when dial-up connections were mainstream.
